The flexibility of ppSD2 means that you are no longer limited to the traditional membership "levels" model. Instead you can maximize the revenue potential of your content through "Access Granters". The following chart explains the system:
"ACCESS GRANTERS"
These elements grant users access to content.
Registration Form
A form used by your website's visitors to become members. A free form will allow the user to register without paying, while a form with shopping cart products assigned to it will require that a user pay to register.
Shopping Cart Product
A shopping cart product allows you to sell access to content. When purchased by an existing user, access to granted to the content assigned to the product.
"CONTENT"
What users pay to access.
Secure Area
A secure folder on your website. When granted access to a secure area, users get access to all the content in a secure area.
Digital Product
A downloadable file on your server. The file can be any file type, including eBooks, videos, software executables, documents, or mp3s.
E-Mail Newsletter
An e-mail newsletter.
Sell Individually or as a Bundle
The access control system allows you to either sell individual pieces of content or sell content in bundles. This flexible allows for traditional membership "levels" while also allowing you to further monetize content through up-sales.
Individual Content Expiration
This system also allows you to remove access to content without having to expire the entire account. That type of flexibility means that access to content is no longer "all-or-nothing", as is standard with traditional membership "levels".
Manually Assign Access
Manually assign access to content to either individual users or entire user groups from the admin control panel.
