Targeted e-mailing allows for all of the following:
- Mass e-mailing to all users and/or leads
- Mass e-mailing based on fixed criteria
Unlike newsletters, users do not need to be subscribed to receive a targeted email.
Sending an E-Mail
- "E-Mailing > Send a targeted mass e-mail"
The program allows you to input all of the basics of a standard email, including a reference name, from line, BCC, subject line, and email content.
The "Criteria" section allows you to specify who will receive this email. You can limit it to just users or leads. You can also input any combination of criteria that the user receiving the e-mail will need to match. By selecting "Match all", the user will need to match every piece of criteria you set up. By selecting "Match any", the user will only need to match one piece of criteria to receive the email.
Previewing Who Will Receive This E-Mail
You can preview who will receive this email by ticking the "Preview User List" checkbox and clicking on "Send Targeted E-Mail".
Common Issues
Server E-Mail Limits
Some servers limit how many e-mails you are can hourly or daily. In the event that you have an hourly limit (contact your web host to determine your limit), you can tell ppSD2 to use hourly batching from "Settings" > "E-Mail Related Option" > "Use Hourly Batching" = "Yes". You can also set your hourly limit from the "E-Mails Per Hour" option.
E-Mail Formatting Issues
Unless otherwise specified when sending the email, the program will always add the appropriate email header and footer to the outgoing email ("Settings > E-Mail Templates").
