Events can be created from "Manage > Create an Event".

Event Options

All events have a name, description, and start/end date. Additional options:

• Maximum RSVPs: Allows you to limit the number of attendees.
• Public: If you wish to manually control registration to this event through the admin control panel, set this to "Only display on the control panel", otherwise users will be able to register from the standard locations.
• Charge for Guests?: If set to "Charge for each guest", guests will be charged the same attendance fee as the primary registrant.
• RSVP Fields/Guest RSVP Fields: Establish which fields to collect for the primary registrant as well as guests.

Recommendations

• Create new shopping cart products for each event. Doing this will allow you to send out mass e-mails based on the product purchased. This means you can mass e-mail the users of a specific event.

Images not appearing

If event images are not appearing on your template, make sure that the "custom/events" folder is set to permissions 777 and try the upload again.

Calendar

Once created, events appear on the calendar:

Individual events can be viewed from:

• http://www.yoursite.com/ppSD2/calendar.php?action=event_info&id=event_id_here

Registration Process

Using an API Payment Gateway

If you are using an API as your payment gateway, registrants will go through the "Advanced Registration" process:

• http://www.yoursite.com/ppSD2/event_reg.php?id=event_id_here

This process takes care of everything on a single page.

Using a non-API

If you are using a non-API, such as PayPal, the process is difference:

• Registrants will first purchase an event ticket through the ppSD2 shopping cart.
• They will then be redirected back to your website, at which point they can register.
• If they are bringing guests, those guests are then registered.

Viewing Registration Lists

You can view registration lists from "Manage > List Events". Click on the "List RSVPs" icon to view a specific event's registration list.
