In accordance with our terms and conditions, you are only entitled to one free transfer of your program within 3 months of your purchase. If you need to transfer your program more than once, there is a transfer fee.
Transferring ppSD2 Between Servers
Disclaimer
As per the ppSD2 terms and conditions, all users performing manual updates are subject to the following clause:
Ascad Networks is not responsible in the event that errors occur following any manual update performed by the end-user. Any such errors are NOT covered by standard support. In the event that there is an error following a manual update performed by the end-user, the end-user will be charged the cost of a professional update to solve the issue and/or complete the update.
Step-by-Step Process
- Create a empty MySQL database on your new server.
- Upload the program files onto the new server and run the program's setup (ppSD/setup/index.php).
- Using a program such as phpMyAdmin, export your current MySQL database, structure and data.
- Once again using a program such as phpMyAdmin, drop all tables from the new MySQL database, and import your exported data into the new server's database.
- Also update all paths and URLs in the following MySQL tables:
- ppSD_options
- ppSD_groups
- ppSD_downloads
- ppSD_reg_pages
- c7_options
- On your new server, run the program updater from a web browser:
- http://www.yoursite.com/ppSD2/admin/updater.php
