This article explains common issues with various payment gateways and how to solve them.

All Payment Gateways

  • Ensure that cURL is working on your server. Contact your web hosting provider for more information.

First Data

  • No Connection: Check with your web host to ensure that port "1129" is open.
  • Connection Refused: Check with your web host to see if your web server requires a CA bundle to be sent with the cURL request.
  • Errors Authenticating Accounts: Have you uploaded your PEM file to the server? You can do this from "SETTINGS > PAYMENT GATEWAYS".

PayPal (Standard)

  • Incomplete Registrations: If user accounts are not being created following a purchase, please make sure that users are clicking on "Return to Merchant" after PayPal processes their sale.

PayPal (Websites Payments Pro)

  • Subscription Issues: Ensure that you have purchased the upgraded package which allows you to process payments without a CVM.
