Users and leads can be managed directly from the admin control panel under "Manage > User Management" and "Manage > Lead Management".
Users
You can list and view all users by clicking on "Manage".
Selecting Column Headers
You can select which information to display on the "List Users" page by clicking on "Settings" and then expanding the "Control Panel and Database Related Options" section. You will see two options, "Display Fields for User Listings" and "Display Fields for Lead Listings".
"Display Fields for User Listings" controls the fields that appear in the columns on the "List & sort users" page.
"Display Fields for Lead Listings" controls the fields that appear in the columns on the "List & sort leads" page.
User Management Screen
Whenever you click a username within the user listings, you will be redirected to the "User Management Screen" for that user. From this screen you can view and manage every aspect of the user's account.
- Ghost Login: This feature allows you to log into the user's account without affecting the user's password sharing abuse statistics.
- E-Mail Opt-Out: When clicked, the user will no longer receive any e-mails from the program.
- Account Notes: Notes will only appear to employees on the admin control panel. "Alerts" will appear to the user within his/her user control panel.
- Universal Alert: This appears to all users within the user control panel.
- Universal Note: This appears on the control panel for all users, but the user cannot see it from the user control panel.
- You can specify how many times an alert will be displayed to the user from "Settings" > "User Control Panel Related Options" > "Display Account Alerts".
- Please note that "Alerts" are not the same as "Login Announcements". Login announcements appear to users before they access their user control panel and are displayed to any user matching the announcement's criteria, whereas alerts appear on the user control panel and can be specific to a single user.
- Secure Area Access: This section allows you to assign access to secure folder or user groups for this user individually. Simply type the name or ID of the secure area into the text box and click on "Add" to grant the user access.
- The same is true of the Newsletter Subscriptions and Digital Product Access sections.
- Start Page: This field allows you to specify a specific URL to which this user will be redirected when he/she logs in.
- Max Logins: This limits how many times the user can log into this account. Leave it blank for no limit.
- Flag Exemption: If set to "Yes", the user will not be tracked for possible password sharing.
Leads
You can list and view all users by clicking on "Manage > List & Sort Leads".
Leads are visitors that have submitted a lead generation form but have not yet registered as full users.
Creating Lead Groups
We recommend that you create a "User Group" ("Manage > Secure an Area", select protection type "User Group") for each different set of leads you plan on processing. By assigning leads generated from various forms to different "User Groups", you can better target your follow-up e-mail campaigns.
Converting Leads
When a registration or shopping cart purchase is processed, the program will automatically detect if this user was previously a lead. In this case, the program will mark the lead as "Converted" and display this information on the user management screen.
In the event that a lead could not be automatically converted, you can manually mark the lead as converted by searching for the lead in the top right corner (email is recommended) and clicking the "Convert Lead" icon.
Filters
When listing users or leads, you can filter the list by clicking on "Show Filters [+]". This will allow you to narrow down your list by user group, status, and join/expiration date.
- Join Date/Expiration Date: You are not limited to a specific day when filtering by date. For example, if you wanted to show users who joined in August of 2010, you could input "2010-08" into the "Join Date" filter.
Searching
Basic Search
You can run a basic search by typing any information into the search box in the top right corner of the control panel. The instant results allow you to search basic information like username and email, while clicking "enter" will allow you to search the entire user/lead database.
Advanced Search
To run an advanced search and find only users matching certain exact criteria, click on the "Search" icon in the top right corner of the screen.
